Lodge Tariff

Lodge rates include:

  • Premium Lodge Suite, Lodge Suite or Lodge Room
  • Pre-dinner drink and canapes
  • Gourmet dinner (excluding beverages)
  • Full continental and cooked breakfast options
  • Free minibar
  • Free Wi-Fi use throughout the lodge
  • New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST)

Rooms & Suites

  • The Lodge has 10 Suites:  Premium Suites (4 upstairs and 1 downstairs), Lodge Suites (2 upstairs & 1 downstairs) and Lodge Rooms (2 downstairs), plus a Twin Room which can be used as part of 2-4 bedroom Family Suite option.
  • Each Room & Suite (except the Twin Room) has it's own private ensuite featuring toilet, walk in shower and double vanity. Most Suites also have a two-person bath.
  • The Rooms have a queen bed and all Lodge Suites and Premium Suites have a king bed - all with double and twin options.
  • All Suites are furnished with lounge chair(s), wardrobe or hanging space, mini-fridge and Nespresso coffee machine
  • Rooms are furnished with hanging space on wall, mini-fridge and Nespresso coffee machine

Room / Suite Capacity

All Rooms have a maximum capacity of 2 people.

Premium Suites have a normal capacity of 2 people. However, for an additional charge, a rollaway bed can be added by arrangement for  a max of 1 child giving a maximum capacity of 3 guest for an additional charge. Please enquire if you wish to add a rollaway bed.

Single Occupancy

There is a reduction in the Suite/Room rates for single occupancy. Please enquire.

Seasons

High season is 1 November until 30 April. Low season is 1 May until 31 October.

Minimum Length of Stay

No minimum length of stay except for 15 December – 5 January inclusive, which has a two night minimum length of stay. 

Child Policy

Children eight years and older are welcome to stay when we have other guests. Children of all ages are welcome when the lodge is booked exclusively. We offer a Family Suite option by arrangement - please enquire.

Payment Terms

Standard Payments

  • Rooms may be “held” at no charge for a maximum of 7 working days and then must be confirmed with a deposit payment of 10% or released.
  • Deposit payment is refundable if cancelled more than 60 days out from the date of stay.
  • All bookings for The Marlborough Lodge must be paid in full 30 days prior to the date of stay.

Festive Season Payments

This applies to the festive season date range of 15 December to 5 January:

  • 25% deposit at the time of reservation.
  • Payment in full 60 days out from the date of stay.
  • $300 per person per night applies for 25 December and 31st December

Group Bookings Payments

For bookings of 4 Rooms/Suites or more:

  • 25% deposit at the time of reservation - deposit is non-refundable.
  • Payment in full 60 days prior to the date of stay.

Exclusive Lodge Use Payments

Applies to all reservations for Exclusive Use of the lodge including weddings and events:

  • 25% deposit at the time of reservation - deposit is non-refundable.
  • Payment in full 90 days prior to the date of stay.

Cancellation Policy

Standard Cancellations

  • Cancellation more than 60 days out from the date of stay – your 10% deposit will be fully refunded.
  • Cancellation within 60 days from the date of stay – 10% cancellation fee (loss of deposit).
  • Cancellation within 30 days from the date of stay – cancellation fee of 100% will be charged.

Festive Season Cancellations

This applies to the festive season date range of 15 December to 5 January:

  • Cancellation within 90 days from the date of stay – Cancellation fee of 25%.
  • Cancellation within 60 days from the date of stay – Cancellation fee of 50%.
  • Cancellation within 30 days from the date of stay – Cancellation fee of 100%.

Group Booking Cancellations
